This Week in the World of WordPress Themes

A lot has happened this week in the world of WordPress themes. In case you missed any of it, here’s a summary.

Community News

  • Now you can demo the backend of Pro Theme Design’s themes. As far as I know, WooThemes is the only other seller on our site that makes this possible (with their Playground) for potential customers.
  • MOJO Themes posted a preview of their redesign. Their marketplace is a great source of themes from independent designers. In related news, their themes will be searchable via ThemeSorter next week!

New Premium WordPress Themes

  • Market, designed by Jason Schuller, is Press75‘s first e-commerce WordPress theme. It is a theme that gives a facelift to the popular Cart66 e-commerce plugin for WordPress.
  • Almanac was released by Viva Themes. This traditional blog theme is a return to WordPress roots. It is especially suitable for photoblogging with a lightbox that activates even on post summaries.
  • Simplicity is a business-oriented portfolio theme designed by Chris Rowe, one of WooTheme‘s closest collaborators. I can see this being very useful to designers, photographers and other freelance creative professionals.
